Time to Say Goodbye :(

Hello everyone! As we come to the end of this term, I wanted to take a moment to say goodbye and share my final thoughts on this journey into using AI for teaching.
Looking back, the best part of this course was definitely how practical it was. We didn't just talk about AI, we actually used tools like Gemini and Canva to create our teaching materials. However, I have to be honest, it wasn't always easy. The hardest part for me was preparing the ASSURE model lesson plans because that was my task for our projects. It took a lot of trial and error, but ı got used to it with time.
My absolute favorite part was our last task, creating AI-integrated lesson plans, where we designed our own lesson material for giving directions. It was so rewarding to put everything I learned into a final project that I can actually use in a classroom. On the other hand, my least favorite task was the AI/corpus-based teaching material. To be honest, I found working with corpus data a bit too complex and dry compared to the other creative tasks we did.
If you are a student taking a course like this next year, my biggest advice is to just dive in and not be afraid of making mistakes. Experiment with the tools, play around with them, and you will learn so much more. Personally, this course has contributed so much to my professional growth. I now feel ready and excited to use these digital skills to make my future English lessons modern and fun.
