Shaping Future Learners: The Role of Teachers and Students

Learning is a entirely different concept in the 21st century. The students need more and more skills so that they can learn effectively in their area. To catch up with the evolving world, they need to acquire skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and digital literacy. How should they develop these skills? As a pre-service teacher I think it's a little bit up to us.We play a crucial role in creating engaging, student-centered learning environments that encourage these skills. However, we cannot make much progress without the efforts of the learners,ofc.

In order to foster these skills of our students, we need to implement engaging activities, tech learning, and real life problem solving according to our instructions. Also students need to be encouraged to think independently, work colloboratively, and express their creativity to help them become lifelong learners. Additionally, we ought to help them in developing self-directed learning habits, helping them take responsibility for their own learning. At the same time, we, as future educators, have to constantly change, update, modernize, and change teaching styles so we meet the needs of learners in the 21st century. By together, we can create an education system that truly prepares students for the future.
